Bali After Dark
The night life in Bali starts late, around midnight. Many visitors wonder where crowds of rich people suddenly come from around 1:00, even when all of Kuta has been very quiet throughout the night, the positions are often crowded after midnight.
The explanation is simple: In the early hours of the evening, many of the people still work, visit their friends at home, or just sleep. Most of them visit pubs, bars, nightclubs only in early hours of the morning. Therefore, if you plan a night out don’t start your dinner too early. Watch between 9:00 and midnight, there are many places we can recommend.
If visitors need a companion, do not need to worry. Wherever you go in Sanur and Kuta area, there are many other visitors with the same problem day and night. In Bali’s clubs, you will meet many “Kupu Kupu Malam” (“night butterflies” or working girls) and boys who compete with women and service all sexes. All taxi drivers know the popular karaoke bars and massage rooms in Kuta and Denpasar, and the various “Houses of ill Repute” in Sanur’s narrow back lanes.
As stated in the Bali Travel Forum: Prostitution is illegal in Bali. However, as in many countries, everyone turns a blind eye. Many girls can be found in nightclubs and bars. It is generally the same as the girl next door, but with a little more, and usually dresses to please visitor’s eyes.
